Li Auto (NASDAQ: LI) saw the 20,000th production Li L6, its cheapest model to date launched last month, officially roll off the assembly line today.

The company announced the development on Weibo, saying that Li L6 production capacity continues to climb and will top 20,000 units next month.

The Li L6's delivery wait cycle will be further reduced, Li Auto said.

The model is Li Auto's five-seater SUV launched on April 18 and is its latest extended-range electric vehicle (EREV) model after the Li L7, Li L8 and Li L9.

The Li L6 is available in two trims, Pro and Max, with starting prices of RMB 249,800 ($34,490) and RMB 279,800, respectively. Deliveries of the model began on April 24.

Currently, customers who order the Li L6 can enjoy a limited-time RMB 15,000 entitlement, Li Auto's Weibo poster shows.

The Li L6 is Li Auto's lowest priced. The company's previous lowest-priced model was the 2024 Li L7, which currently starts at RMB 301,800.

Li Auto previously offered customers who ordered the Li L6 from April 18-May 5 a total of RMB 20,000 in limited-time benefits, including a RMB 5,000 discount, an option fund valued at RMB 10,000, and RMB 5,000 worth of 7-kW AC charging piles and installation services.

Li Auto reduced the RMB10,000 option fund to RMB5,000 on May 6 and extended the offer to May 31.

On April 21, Li Auto said the Li L6 received more than 10,000 orders in the first 72 hours after launch.

On April 30, the company said cumulative orders for the Li L6 exceeded 20,000 units, and on May 4, it said orders for the model exceeded 30,000 units.

On May 6, Li Auto said on Weibo that between April 18 and May 5, cumulative orders for the Li L6 had exceeded 41,000 units.

Li Auto delivered 25,787 vehicles in April, up 0.41 percent year-on-year but down 11.03 percent from March. It had 27,200 insurance registrations from May 1-26, data compiled by CnEVPost showed.
