It was time to replace my joysticks, as they were drifting so I decided to give it a facelift at the same time.A quick disclaimer for anyone considering this product: It is necessary that you have knowledge/experience with disassembling complex electronics as you will need to nearly COMPLETELY disassemble your switch lite to replace its shell. The screwdrivers needed are included but be sure to have thermal paste on hand.My first thought when unboxing this product was: It's matte. I clearly missed "Note the shell is clear but not 100% transparent." in the product description but it definitely wasn't bad because it still looks fantastic.My only complaint about the appearance of this shell, it has the manufacturing date indicators in two very visible spots (bottom right near joystick in image 1, top left of heatsink in image 2) and I find it slightly unsightly.The plastic feels very good in the hands with its matte finish. The quality & precision of the shell is very good, everything closes perfectly flush and I had no difficulty seating anything at all. I did this shell swap to my switch lite recently and it turned out perfect. The company has a nice youTube video that's over an hour along guiding you step by step.

I knew beforehand from doing mods on other switches that you really need 3mm double sided screen adhesive tape, removing the screen/digitizer assembly almost always ruins the adhesive tape the factory applies, so make sure you buy some in advance, as well as some good small tweezers (plastic and steel).

A hair dryer also works fine on high heat low blow setting to remove the screen assembly if you don't have a heat gun around (my heat gun starts at 100c which was way too hot for this application).

I lucked out with a grey screen bezel so I didn't need to use the included screen protector/colour match over top of the current screen, this made a nice tight factory fit. Using the included one is fine as it matches the colour but it sticks up so if possible order the actual digitizer that closest matches your desired colour from offsite.

I like that they included extra screws/springs in case you lose one off the desk etc, and although I opted to use my original light grey buttons I could have used the rgby ones included. I also like that the port covers and power/volume buttons were also made with the same semi transparent plastic.

This product was great. It came with all of the necessary screwdrivers and parts to complete a full shell swap on your Nintendo Switch Lite (You will need a heat gun or heat pack to remove your screen safely). It took me just under an hour and a half and I was back up and running.

This product is not for people who know nothing about electronics. I am very experienced with electronics and it is important that you know what you are doing before you attempt a shell swap. There are a lot of small ribbon cables that can be easily ripped and if you are not careful you could shatter your screen when removing it.

Overall the quality of the shell is very good. There were no cracks or imperfections on my unit and all of the buttons fit perfectly into place. This shell came with replacement buttons which were different colored but I chose not to use them as I thought the original buttons looked better.

My joysticks were starting to drift and I figured I should make a whole thing out of it and change the shell. While the plastic seems a little flimsier than the original shell -- especially the SD and game card doors, which are obviously inferior to the originals and seem like they might snap or bend out of shape eventually -- it's sturdy enough and feels nice in your hands once the whole thing comes together. I love the transparent N64 controllers this shell is based on, so I also think it looks pretty neat.

As other reviews have stated, please be aware that this isn't a quick and easy swap. You really do have to disassemble almost the entire thing, and there are lots of fiddly, tiny, fragile parts to keep track of, not to mention other considerations like screw management. The kit comes with the basic tools you need, but you want to invest at the very least in some very fine tweezers, 90% isopropyl alcohol, Q-tips, thermal paste, double-sided 3mm screen tape, a heat gun or blow dryer, and maybe some spudgers. The guy uses side cutters in the video, but you don't actually need them because none of the parts in this particular shell are on sprues.

Consider buying a spare screen as well if you think you might break it. Depending on your Switch, it may be a good idea to get one in with a different bezel color anyway since the bezel can't be removed from the screen and is only covered up by a screen protector with a grey lining. Mine is teal and the colors really clashed before I put the protector on.

The video they provide is easy to follow but not always clear on the finer details in some places (pro-tip: lift the battery connector straight up, don't try to pull it out from the side!). The guy in the video also neglects to replace the thermal paste and screen adhesive. You're definitely going to to want to do both of those. Just clean up the old thermal paste with the isopropyl alcohol and Q-tips first.

Also, yes, installing this will 100% void your warranty. Any third-party modification to any console would.

Overall, if you know what you're doing, this is a fun way to spend an afternoon and change things up a bit.

Das Gehäuse ist sehr hübsch, wenn man dies allerdings schon öfter getätigt hat und auch ein Perfektes Ergebnis abliefern konnte.
Wir haben auch mit Anleitung über YT einen Display Schaden dadurch errungen, und komplett zu ging das Gehäuse bislang nicht. Vielleicht ändert es sich, wenn wir das ein zweites Mal geöffnet haben, weil wir ein neues Display holen müssen.
Vorsicht beim Einbau und beim beheizen von den Klebern. Sonst kommen nochmal knapp 60 Euro obendrauf.
Ich vergebe 5 Sterne, da der Fehler bei uns lag.

Replacing the actual shell is easy, the problem was taking everything else apart

Disassembling the switch was a challenge, i mean, it's pretty straight forward if you follow a tutorial but it's a long, anxiety inducing process if you never put your hands on a motherboard before ...

Do not start the replacement if you don't already have everything you need at hand. Like the thermal paste, tweezers, isopropyl alcohol, heat gun or hairdryer and separates little containers for your loose screws so you don't lose or confuse them

You gotta be extremely careful with the screws, don't tight them too much or else you're gonna put too much stress on the shell.
go gently with the screwdrivers so you don't strip the heads of the screws, cause that's a NIGHTMARE.

I recommend following a tutorial step by step and maybe get a set of smaller screwdrivers just to be extra careful

Double check every ribbon cable before closing the shell ( i had to reopen it because I didn't properly connect the game card cable, fml)

This is a brilliant product for customising, changing or even replacing your Switch Lites case.
It’s sturdy, well made and very pleasant to look at once completed. Something I’m sure all of you want in this style of product.

However I do have two issues with this product. Neither relating to the case itself mind you.

1st - The screwdrivers supplied with the product broke on me and made on of my Tri Wing screws damaged. Meaning my original switch case is simply unusable and I’m now left with the case I ordered. I’m not sure if this is a common issue or if I simply got unlucky but the Tri Wing screwdriver supplied with my case broke immediately rendering it pointless. So I ordered some more to change my case around.

2nd - Note that this product is designed to be used by experienced consumers. And if you are new to customising I strongly recommend you watch a video before, during and after purchasing. As taking any Switch apart is a daunting task for a new person.

But aside from that. This product is amazing! Strongly recommend
