I've had the pleasure to use a few different branded portable studio LED light and this one is pretty decent. The best aspect in my opinion is that it is a smidge brighter than similar-powered lamps, especially compared to the non-branded ones, but also that it is small and compact. For instance compared to the ones from Neewer which have a whole lot of empty space around the power supply and fan, this one really is far more compact and thus easier to handle and to transport.
It uses the same type of cable as computers so replacing it or getting a longer length one is fairly easy, but the one included is of great quality and perhaps long enough for most. The rest of the build quality is excellent as well, and the adjustment knobs tighten solidly. It just doesn't have a repositionable handle, which I think is a inexpensive but really useful thing to have.
As far as the light quality, it is excellent as expected from Godox. The controls are fairly easy to handle though I suspect for using the same chassis as models with color temperature control or even RBG, the controls do feel a bit weird... such as why a knob specific for special effects mode? but all that is easy to get used to.
Finally, the price. It seems to have dropped lower since the time of ordering and for a well recognized brand it is actually one of the most affordable options out there. What's not to like about that! Though I do think that is is better value to just buy a video light that has color temperature adjustment, which lets you better fine tune the natural variability in color in the production of LED lights but also just unlock extra creative lighting settings without removing the possibility of working seamlessly with flashes.
