As for the actual boxset, anybody who has seen the show knows how great it is. Benedict Cumberbatch, (most British name EVER) and Martin Freeman have done a great job bringing these legendary characters to the screen in a modern setting. Every fan of those classic stories, myself included, have a tendency to pick apart every new incarnation on our screens, be it films or tv. In recent times, we've seen Robert Downey Jr and Jude Law on the big screen, Elementary and Sherlock on the small screen. While I thoroughly enjoy each of them, warts and all, Sherlock has been my favourite. My thanks to the BBC who, despite their exorbitant mistakes over the years have, for the most part, always treated the Sherlock Holmes character with respect. I have always worried that moving the characters into a modern setting was a risky proposition. While technology has been integrated into the stories, they don't make it a focul point. They stay true to the characters, and keep the focus on Sherlock's intellect and observational skills, and Watson keeping him somewhat grounded.

I only have great things to say about this show, and look forward to seeing where they go from here.

I bought this in December of 2018 and if you've ever watched Sherlock, you'll know that it's worth it!
As for packaging, it comes packed in 5 separate BluRay cases so there isn't anything to necessarily write home about. However, it is definitely better than the box sets which have all the discs stacked on top of one another.
