Object of the game is to not draw the exploding kitten card. But to rather avoid that card, even if it meant stabbing your buddies in the back/front!! Seems simple enough, but there are variety of counter cards that will block or divert an exploding kitten that will knock you out of the game.The game essentially have 9 types of cards:1. Exploding kitten card - what you want to avoid2. Attack card - make the next player draw 2 cards increasing the chances of them drawing an exploding kitten card3. Skip card - Skip you turn, so you don't have to draw a card (which may potentially be a exploding kitten card)4. Favor card- Force an opponent to give you a card form his or her hand5. Shuffle card - As the name implies shuffle the deck if you assume or know (with the see the future card) you'll be drawing an exploding kitten card6. See the future card - see the top 3 cards in the draw pile. Great when combined with any other cards7. Defuse card - save yourself from an exploding kitten8. Nope card - Prevent any action of a card used by your opponent9. Other cards - cards not part of the 8 mentioned, but if you have multiple you can use them for special combos such as stealing a card from another player.Game is very simple to pick up and play, and the instructions are very easy to grasp (Although couple of Typos). At first, the game might seem dull, but once you actually GET IT GET IT, and you and your friends get good at the game you'll be countering each other left and right as you guess what cards your opponent has and try to outwit them.Card stock is similar to casino cards. The art design and writing on the cards are very witty and sometimes gross (for the Explicit edition)Overall very tension filled game with friends. Preferably over Drinks

Purchased this Card Game after reading Reviews especially during self quarantine. This is highly addictive, strategic and fairly competitive. My entire family from my 5 year to my 12 year old; love this game. My kids want to play this game every single day; no matter what time of day it is. Let me be known; there true colours will definitely come out!! Be Warned! 😀

So let's talk about the highlights.

1) Cards are beautifully designed and extremely colourful. Animation is fantastic
2) Card quality is quite durable and medium thickness
3) Game is fairly straightforward; read the Instructions as well as watch the video to understand the game play. This will take some time and getting use to. But it's worth it. It will make sense. Trust me.
4) The object is not necessarily to have the most Cards but to analyze and determine what Cards are left in the Deck as well as what each of your opponents have. Each Card has a purpose and can help. Just determine how to use it effectively.
5) The Card is travel friendly; it's small enough to put in your knapsack or bag. Enjoy playing with others.

The Not So Good Highlights

1) Game Instructions can be confusing for example it states that a Player can "Pass-Play-Draw". The terminology of "Passing" on your Turn can be misleading. In a nutshell, you always draw a Card to end your Turn according to the Instructions. The only time you don't is when you use your "Skip a Turn" or place an "Attack Card". This is clarified however done in a separate section of the Instructions Manual.
2) If they included an Expansion Pack as a Bonus with your purchase. It's $8.00 for approximately 15 additional expansion cards to include in your original deck. Bit expensive.
3) The most important thing of it all; this game is very addictive because of the different combinations and strategies that are involved. You will find; like myself wanting to research on the internet for tricks and strategies for th Game. There is SO MUCH information out there which also can be confusing and make your head "explode"! Just play the game and learn from each other

Fantastic, addictive and crazy game! Definitely enjoy and have lots of fun!

What a good game!

It has got my whole family together dying of laughter (and kittens) and we cannot get enough of it. This alone is so much fun but we decided to get the zombies expansion and throw in some specialty cards from that such as dig deeper and clones to spice up the original game a bit. Even looking to get other expansions just to throw in a few specialty cards which add on such a great twist/power up to make almost every game unique.

We have been playing for 4 months on and off a few times every week but we cannot wait to play it because its sooo much fun. Lots of craziness goes on!

Pick this up, its so cheap so it is the cheapest price of crazy amounts of fun. Best played with 4 players but we have played with three and even two players here and there.

Get it now!!! ...Or Explode!!!
