Love this headset! It is one of the best I have used with the PS5, aside from the Pulse Elite!The build quality is very good. It is mostly plastic, but the plastics used are a nice soft touch material with a premium feel and a matte color to help keep away fingerprints.The earcups are EXTREMELY comfortable for long periods of time. They provide a significant amount of cushioning and they really cup your ears in a comfortable way.The headband itself is a dual-band design with a plastic outer band and a fabric nylon stretch material. It sits nicely on my head and the stretch material helps keep the hard plastic from causing pain or discomfort on my scalp. Again, great for long periods.There is a microphone that retracts from the left earcup if you do voicechat. I personally did not really try the microphone as I play video games mostly solo and had no need for the microphone.There is a small USB-C dongle that fits on the front of the PS5 system. This dongle is required in order to use this headset with the PS5. The connectivity is VERY strong for this headset and as a nice bonus, I am actually able to use this upstairs with my Playstation Portal while my PS5 streams the audio to the headset. There is NO noticeable distortion or sound lag with the Portal at all. This is great and makes gaming in bed much better than using cheap plug-in earbuds.The sound quality as a whole is good. You won’t get fancy 7.1 audio but it does a good job at creating a virtual soundspace with a wide range. You will hear footsteps in the rear, and there is some nice directional sound that you can very clearly differentiate between L and R. There is a lot of bass and gunshots or loud sound effects have a nice thump to them. Some vocals can be a bit difficult to hear in heavy action games, but it is more than serviceable.The battery life is also VERY good. Steelseries claims 60+ hours, which is incredible. This Arctis Nova 5 is an awesome headset suitable for many things, including music, gaming, conference / video calls. I did have a few hiccups in the beginning, but after learning how it operates, it was easy; like for instance, as soon as my phone was unpaired, I turned on the laptop to pair it with and the laptop could not find the device, I learned that I had to power off and on the headset again, or hold quickswitch to activate the BT pairing mode again (my previous headphones would just start to pair as soon as something else was unpaired). The other thing that was sporadic was the button controls, sometimes the skip, or go back did not work as intended, but it could also be the unit I paired it to because it would work if I repaired it. I am pleased that these have the USB dongle, makes it much easier, without a need to pair for laptops and PC, works quickly and easily, much like your wireless mouse. Because of its quick connectivity, I prefer the dongle 2.4 over BT for laptop.

Most headphones I have owned have the PU leather ear muffs, but these ones are fabric, I find it is not as hot and are equally comfortable, with less chance of deterioration. My previous set with the PU ear cushion started to break down and lose little bits of plastic over time, especially since I travel with them, these items don't like the hot and humid places I go to. So definitely less chance of that with these fabric ones.

Sound quality is quite good, bass is decent, and if you are a gamer, their app could select different presets to be used with more popular games. And you can save two different EQ profiles in the app and it would just default to your preset. Although these are not noise cancelling perse, but it does a good job blocking out other sounds, over the ears, the music experience is fairly immersive. The volume can be controlled on the headphones via a volume wheel, AND, it does not control your device volume, which I LOVE! Sometimes when I listen to music at night before bed, I find the lowest volume on my device to be too loud, but most headphones volume rocker adjusts volume by controlling your device, so these ones control the volume that the device gives you, so you can turn it to barely audible even.

There is a hidden mic in the headphones too, you just pull it out when you need it. Good clear voice quality on the call that I tested it with. So far, I like these headphones!

Using in my pc setup sounds good, earcups feel smaller then on my artcis 7p gen1 but they're replaceable so not overly concerned the app feature is good for console use not sure it matters for pc. But for the price the mic quality is better then the 7 series so I'd pick this headset again if given a choice between this and a 7 or 7x
