I have Android Auto in my car but it requires a physical connection, and this device makes it wireless. The package comes with a USB-C/C cable, a USB A/C cable, a piece of tape and instructions. The device itself is quite small at about the third the size of my cell phone, and measures about 3 inches in length.
The initial setup involves plugging the device to the car then pairing it to the phone. Then each time thereafter, it automatically connects. I just leave the device plugged in at all times and takes about 15 seconds when I start the engine to when it gets connected to the phone.
It is so much more convenient to have it connect wirelessly because I don't have to plug and unplug my phone each time, and I use Android Auto at all times. I can even leave the phone in my belt holster and it works as well.
The device works flawlessly. It is no different than when I plug my phone directly into the USB-A slot to use Android Auto.
Even though it is not cheap at $92.99 (at the time of review), it is worth it especially if you are using Android Auto all the time like myself. This wireless functionality would have only been available on more expensive trims that are thousands more for the car I have.
Overall, I really like this device. It only does one thing but it does it well, and is so convenient to have. Recommended.
