I have this great MacBook Air that’s thin, sleek, and lightweight to carry in my backpack… unfortunately, the charger is big and heavy which kind of defeats the point of having such a light laptop. Now I can leave a charger at work and one at home… for a fraction of the price of getting a genuine spare charger from Apple.It charges my MacBook Air perfectly fine. No complaints or issues and the build quality seems on par… at least on the outside. Plus I love how the prongs on the block fold in making it more portable and that the USB-C to USB-C is a separate piece from the block… so if your dog decides to nibble on the cable, you can just use a different fast charging cable. The other nice thing is that the “plug” part is swapable with international plugs from Apple, making this a go-to option for travel too.If you need a spare charger or are looking to replace an older charger, then this is a good alternative at considerable cost savings.

Not to mention it was about 1/2 as much as the OEM version that came with my Air.
Build quality seems just as good as OEM and the cable even has some strain relief built in!
It is a switching adapter so it can be used to charge up any smart device.
I wish they would make the option to get this adapter with different cables, like USB C to the 4 pin MacBook cable... hint hint, but sadly is not the case currently.
Overall and all things considered it is still an easy 5 stars!

I guess I am lazy. When my Mac battery is dying, I want to reach out, grab a cable, plug it in, and continue on with what I am doing. So I have a charger in all the places in my house that I am likely to be, which is why I got this one. It works well and charges my MacBook Air better than the one that came with. The stock charger is only 35 watts, so charging is much slower than this one. Having said that, I have a couple of MacBook Pro chargers that I use instead. If you have a MacBook Pro, you will find that this will be comparable to the charger that comes with those. I initially thought that this charger ran a bit cooler than the similar MacBook Pro ones, but they are about the same. I thought for sure that this one, would run hotter, by a lot, but that was not the case - it is about the same. Of course this isn't based on empirical data, but simply by touching it while it was charging my computer.

There only downside to this charger is that it did not come with an extension cable, so you are limited to charging within the length of the USB C cable that came with the charger. If you are looking for a decent charger to replace or augment the one you have, this is a good replacement.

I ordered this charger since my current charger for my cell phone was quite bulky and the cord was so weak and short.

Too many times the cord will pop out since it was too short. Also the charger itself was pushed in at a slight angle since it was too big. This charger is big and square but it has a thin profile so it fits well. The cord is extra long and very thick so it's perfect to use and it will last long. My old cord was breaking down after a few weeks but not this one.

The prongs will fold into itself when not in use so well suited for traveling. The charger charges my device also very quickly since it is also a high wattage. It works as expected.

Just an additional note as I needed to transfer a bunch of files from my phone to my laptop. Using other charging cords my phone was nor even recognized. However this cord recognized and also transferred my data quite fast and I am so satisfied with its performance. I really recommend others try this cable out if you are needing to transfer files with it.

I have my Mac setup on a home office sit stand desk and have the power cable neatly tucked in to a cord management system. It was a pain to pull the cord out every time I needed to travel.

This charger allows me to have a backup cord to take when I travel, and for all intents and purposes I can’t tell the difference from the charger that came with my Mac. A great affordable option if you need a second charger, or need to replace the charger that came with your Mac.
