First time ever purchasing an Apple product of any kind. Mostly because I'm an avowed Android owner of many devices, and running Windows since 1997. It's hard to change horses at this late date in the game. Mainly, I've resisted Apple because of it's overblown proprietary nature, which I hate, and because its pricing structure is somewhere in the stratosphere outside my budget for such matters. Apple simply is not democratic, it appeals to a certain segment of society that is generally well heeled compared with us plebians down here in the trenches. Not that I haven't looked doe-eyed and longingly at Apple's beauteous products. Give them that. Nobody does it quite like Apple.
So, to the chase. I couldn't believe my sorry old eye - I only have one - as I was kanoodling around looking for a decent break on either an entry level iPhone or iPad. Nothing fancy mind you, just serviceable and not an impossible leap from Android to Apples. Noah's wife and I were best friends but I never let old age get me down when up came this amazing little iPad for a decent price that didn't involve selling the grandchildren. When did I ever see an Apple anything, in Canada, that didn't cost the same as a downpayment on a cottage in the country? Never. Until now. Under 400$, really? For an iPad, 9th generation? What device can you get for four hundred bucks I wondered. Must be something wrong, eh? I jumped into the abyss.
Well, wonder no more. Amazon Canada knocked itself silly and sent me this little iPad at the speed of light. It arrived at my door yesterday. Beautifully packaged. In an original Apple box with original Apple everything. WOW! Poor little thing. Nearly frozen to death I let her warm up a bit before turning her on. Trust me, she is a turn on. What a tease. An hour later, warmed up, I turn her on. Holy smoke! WOW!
I have zero, zip experience with Apple. I have a Samsung10" baby that is faster than blazes and just as pretty. Never used it. But this iPad does so many things at the speed of sound that it may well take me ten years to configure them all. I had to skip a bunch of things, to be done later; suffice to say that I entered all my coordinates and she took them all in stride. Amazing. She had a lot of patience and waited while I fumbled around clumsily using the online keyboard. That itself a foreign object since I am a demon speed typist and not a hunt and pecker bible typist. She didn't laugh at me. WOW! Been saying 'wow' a lot on this baby. She is a beauty. Everything looks smashing. I bet that if I can ever get Siri to talk to me, we may well become an item together. Don't tell anybody, but I'm not gay. See ya later, Siri. The fingerprint thingy also defied me, couldn't get it to read my fingerprint. Told me I could do it later. I used the workaround to get into the trenches.
WOW! I looked at everything on the desktop. Impressive. I fooled around a bit, but it was getting very late ... I pushed something or other. EEK! Camera. Lights. Action. OMG! I'm looking at my ugly puss. Scared myself to death. I don't do 'selfies' at the best of times. Ten o'clock at night isn't one of them. It's time to put this baby to bed and take myself there as well. I just took her to the kitchen, plugged her in to let her be charged up since the battery was at 58% when she arrived. That was where I left it.
WOW! This is what I think of the iPad 2021 9th generation: WOW! Impressive! For a decent price. Thank you Amazon Canada. Thank you Apple USA. You did good.
