Doesn't Reconnect and Activate after an Internet Outage
We purchased this camera along with the home security system (hub) for our second home. After less than 1 week, the camera disconnected due to an Internet outage with a storm and would not restart/reconnect. The hub reconnected without any issue. I used Arlos support chat and there's no way to reset the camera without physically being there. This is horrible and this just doesn't work to have for security with a vacation home.

These little indoor specific cameras work for me as “nanny” cams for our new puppy while I’m on the other side of the house working. I can let him have the run of the house while still being able to keep an eye on him (even with the 3 second delay.) The 2K resolution is great. Only 4 stars though because I do wish they were wireless, at the same price point. I had to get quite creative setting them up to sit ‘just right’ on something at the ‘just right’ height and the ‘just right’ angle. Where I need them to view the rooms and where our outlets are don’t match up to my needs since they still have to be plugged in even when mounted to a wall/ceiling.

I love how clear the picture and audio are from the arlo cameras. Even at night, the camera picks up enough ambient light to make out what is happening really well. I feel so much safer knowing these are online in my home and always recording to the cloud.

I have the older Arlo Q indoor cameras which I love. They will notify me via the app of any movement or sounds when activated. They will also record video.

Since those a several years old, I thought this was the update version. It does not operate the same way— this unit is ONLY for monitoring and does not record. The positive, though, you can use the same app to turn the camera on for monitoring.

It would be great as a baby monitor, but not as a security camera.
