To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzes reviews to verify trustworthiness.
The 5 stars is for the game! It's fun and nice group board game. So different than regular Risk, it's fun and so many different way to play.Yet, I will give Amazon -5stars. Look at the picture and you will know. The product arrived with minor damage. As all board gamers know, we are not just purchased the game for fun only, we would like to collect them as well. How would a board gamer will collect a board game with damage box? I hope Amazon Customer care will do something and start monitoring of this issue. Since this is not my first time received a product with damage box/package.

If you know how to play classic Risk, then the rules for Risk Legacy will be easy to learn. The big difference with Legacy is that you make decisions about the game parameters as you go along. Game mechanics are altered as you choose options, using stickers and other methods to permanently mark up the board and playing aids. This makes for a variable game each time, so not the same-old same-old Risk, but it does mean many of the scenarios are one-shot only, and when done the campaign you need to buy another copy of the game.
There's some interesting new gameplay options here over classic Risk, such as factions (you can choose from five factions, each of which plays differently). The variations in gameplay from the choices you (and the other players) make change the game quite a bit, which makes the challenge more interesting. There's a lot to like here, but there's no way to back out from choices and "start again" without messing up the game components. Still, having played through the first time, over many games in the campaign, I need to buy a new copy of the game and start again.
Some prints of this game have envelopes packed in the incorrect place. If you open a pack that references things you don’t understand that’s likely the issue.
Otherwise a fun game. Very playable. Ideal for a consistent group of players.
Lots of fun. Doesn't vary away from the original game of risk too much but includes fun changes. This variant is much quicker to play so you don't need to be worried about never ending games.
The game itself is really cool. The concept of 10 game campaign is really interesting. We are trying to get a solid group together to give it a good go! I imagine it is a lot like the Risk you can play on Xbox. My complaint and low star rating is due to the box. It seemed like it had been opened and then resealed, the box is all banged up. Giving someone a gift that looks second hand isn't great.
Bei dem Spiel ist es ja wichtig, dass das Spiel neu sein muss und alles noch verpackt was hier der Fall war. Das Spiel mach auch sehr viel Spaß. Empfehle ich gerne weiter.
1.0 out of 5 starsAwful condition and not even close to being "new"

Very deceptive to describe the condition as "new", this is one of the most beaten up, unsealed, clearly opened before boxes i've ever seen. The contents all seem to be intact and looks like the game hasn't been played but i'm not a fan of being lied to about condition (and paying the price accordingly) so this has to get a bad review. Don't order Risk Legacy from here folks, there will be better options out there
5.0 out of 5 starsBest version of RISK every created

I grew up playing the classic RISK in the 80s, and loved \ hated it. Short version summary: RISK: Legacy fixes all the issues with the original and improves on several aspects. If you love the idea of RISK but hate the occasional 6 hour game of back and forth, this version is for you. Recommended to play 15 times, we played 30+ times through on our first board, just bought a 2nd copy to start playing again with a new set of people! Highly recommended.
