I have been using the s23 FE for two weeks now. I absolutely love the pastel green colour and the size of the phone. I was worried it would be heavy but it is not and I quickly got used to it. It is a very high quality phone and doesn’t not feel like cheap plastic. It is so fast and all my apps run so smoothly and open very quickly. I love the facial recognition feature it is very accurate and super quick to setup. In terms of the battery life it lasts me all day which is brilliant. It is a usb c and you get the cable in the box but the adapter is sold separately. The camera is also good quality. It features a portrait mode that focuses on the main subject and it makes the photo look great almost like professional quality. I would definitely recommend this phone for any user and you won’t be disappointed. I’m so pleased and it is definitely worth the money.

Unboxing this was a pleasure although I was disappointed there was no stylish plug to go with it. The phone was a welcome upgrade from my S10+. First appearance was sleek and modern. I love the green colour and this feels more robust than my last phone. Transferring data from my last phone was a breeze and easy to do even for those not technologically minded. The screen size and ease of use is excellent. Touch screen facility is very responsive. Using this over the past few days the battery lasts a long time and the operating system is quick. Camera quality is great and I'm looking forward to seeing what it can really do. It comes with 256GB which will be welcome as I take a lot of photos. Pros for me are battery life, easy of use, speed and photo quality. The only con would be the lack of plug. I'd definitely recommend this phone to others.

I bought this to replace an S10 which I was happy with, apart from the battery starting to die. The S23 FE is a nice replacement in many ways, but it doesn't offer much that I couldn't do with the S10. It's a nice form factor - flat screen, solid feel, no pointless Bixby button. It's quite weighty, but I like that. Performance is good, and the screen is very nice. I know some people aren't a fan of Samsung's One UI Android adaptation but I've always liked it and it's still good here.
The three cameras are pretty good, but I do find the Samsung software over-processes images making them look over-saturated to the point of being a bit unreal. And particularly with the 3x camera, images are often over-sharpened for my taste.
I was able to claim the free pair of Buds FE which took a few weeks to arrive, but are pretty good and made up for the loss of a headphone socket.
Some minor quibbles:
- Only one speaker. Not a big problem in itself but it's placed where I typically put my finger to support the phone when holding it one-handed so the speaker is blocked.
- The under-screen fingerprint reader is so-so. I have a screen protector (which claimed to be fingerprint reader friendly), so that may be the problem, but I found it very hard to register prints. Once registered they usually work, but it can be hit and miss. I don't trust face recognition so haven't tried that.
- No heartrate measurer or SPO2 sensor. I didn't much trust the latter on my S10, but the heartrate monitor was nice and I miss it on the S23 FE.

Google's 'circle to search' works very well and it's quick - pretty impressive, although I'm not sure how useful.

Summary: Given that my old phone needed replacing, I'm happy with this as a good solid phone at a decent price and with a feel of quality. But I can't say it's a huge upgrade.

So happy I bought this phone, as a long time user of Samsungs in the past a few years ago I thought I would try another brand as the specs looked great, big mistake and so glad to finally be back on a Samsung.

As soon as I received the phone and had it in my hand and used it I knew the build quality has not gone downhill at all but actually improved, full metal making it feel very sturdy and durable.

It is a great size screen (handy for someone with aging eyes like myself lol). I wasn't looking forward to spending time transferring everything from my old phone but I didn't need to worry. As soon as I switched the phone on and it started the setup it asked if I wanted to transfer my data from my old phone, simply connected the old and new phone using a lightning to C-USB cable and away it went and transferred everything I told it to, pictures, videos, sms, contacts, app including Whatsapp and Line etc (Could have used Wifi or Bluetooth instead of cable).

A week later I am still so happy for getting the S23 FE, I continue to notice the differences between my old Samsung S10 and my previous phone and the new S23 - The screen quality is so much better it is clearer, crisper and has a more true colour, noticeable when watching TV/Films or looking at high quality photos.

The speed of opening, switching and running apps is so much faster and smoother and mobile games I play (such as Kings of Avalon) open much faster and the sensitivity and scrolling speed is much better.

One of the reasons I switched to my old phone was because of the specs of its cameras and the photo and video quality, they looked impressive and that the photos would be spectacular, well they weren't ! No matter what settings I tried and the conditions they always looked pretty dull and zooming in became very grainy. The first pics I took on the S23 without making any adjustments to the settings was much better, brighter, clearer, more depth to the photo and I could zoom in a lot further before it started to get grainy!

Sound - the sound on the old phone can be pretty quiet and soft, and even at full volume it could be hard to hear in a big room, thankfully the sound on the S23 is much louder (without loosing any quality) so another thumbs up.

If like me (used to) you made your choice on impressive looking specs STOP ! The S23 FE has slightly lower specs - but still pulls a punch at a 3rd of the cost.
