I waited for a few years before getting my first smart watch and decided now was the time to jump in. The Google Watch 2 syncs seamlessly with th emy Pixel 6Pro and offers a raft of health monitoring features, which is what I wanted it for.
I am now tracking my sleep and excersice and even taking regular ECGs (I have some hypertension I need to monitor) with it which has enabled me to make some better lifestyle choices to reduce my problems in that area.
It runs via Fitbit integration and you get a 6 month free trial with the watch, after which it's £7 a month, given my experience so far, I think I will keep up the subscription. Other cost I didn't factor in was for LTE service, I assumed that it was something that my provider (EE) would just enable ubt they charge for that too, again £7 a month, will monitor this and see if it's really worth it, but I have the option with this version of the watch.
My only real issues are the size which is a tad small for my big wrists, and the battery life which I'd say is around 26-28hrs, so a full day, but that said it charges so quickly that even if I don't have the 40 mins for a full charge right away, a quick 10 min top up will get me though the day.
Oveerall I positive experience which I'd recommend if you want to track your activity, sleep and other health metrics. If you are not into this then it becomes just a watch and you maye get better value for moey elsewhere. But for me, its great!
