Are the Runar RNR1's Wireless?
Yes, they use Bluetooth Version 5.0 technology to connect to your smart device.
What is Bluetooth V5.0?
Bluetooth 5.0 is the latest version of the Bluetooth wireless communication standard. It's commonly used for wireless headphones and other audio hardware, as well as wireless keyboards, mice, speakers, trackers, and game controllers.
Is Bluetooth Version 5.0 good?
Compared to Bluetooth 4.2, Bluetooth 5.0 can transmit eight times more data, at twice the speed, across four times the range which makes Bluetooth 5 so much more robust when it comes to audio than its predecessor, Bluetooth 4.2.
Does Bluetooth 5.0 work with all devices?
The good news is, Bluetooth 5 hardware is fully backward compatible with prior versions of Bluetooth. Your Bluetooth 5 phone will have no problem at all working with all the Bluetooth headphones, speakers, fitness trackers, automobiles, and everything else out there. Therefore the Runar RNR1's are universally compatible with any bluetooth enabled device.
How do I connect them to my device?
Press the power button for 2 seconds to power up the RNR1's. Observe the LED indicator. Providing RNR1's are not already connected to a previously paired device in range they will automatically enter pairing mode. This is indicated by the LED flashing red and blue alternately. Your device will discover the RNR1's under the Bluetooth name "Runar".
Why is there a micro SD/TF memory card slot?
This gives you the option of running with or without your phone. Instead of connecting your phone to Bluetooth, you can leave it at home and play music straight from your microSD card. Simply download your favourite running playlists or podcasts to your memory card and run unburdened by a heavy smartphone.

Super comfy, great sound
Loved these headphones, super easy to use, great sound, nice controls and very comfortable. Would use for the gym and running, no problems, didn't slip, even when very sweaty. (The ear pads are faux-leather so much better than foam, just a quick wipe down after a workout.My only regret is that the band got twisted after about 6 months and now they don't stay on my ears. The band between the two ear pieces just won't go back into position. I wish they could be fixed but sadly just sit in a drawer now. Just wish were more durable and I would still be using them.

I really wanted to like these. Designed and built by runners for runners and made in the UK. I don't actually run, but I do wear headphones for personal use the majority of the time, when I'm out and about. In-ear are not the one for me (small ears), so I always opt for light weight, over the ear solutions. The functionality is easy to use and get to grips with, the fit is comfortable and the device is nicely built HOWEVER, the biggest issue is the sound quality, which is poor. It sounds 'tinny' and like you're listening to someone at the back of a room, rather than front and centre. I switched between the two equalizer options, which do have a subtle difference but still ultimately sound 'tinny' and sometimes shrill. I have tried with music, audiobooks, YouTube and leaving VoiceNotes and all were uncomfortable to listen to. I do have comparison with other similar headphones such as Kamtron and Marathon (branding changes), who's sound quality is excellent no matter the medium (for the same price), which begs the question, if the builders/testers of this product, had purchased an alternative brand to compare again (in the same price range) they would have noticed their own product is lacking by comparison.
