I like it but its heavy and bit big for a tiny flat.
Its very heavy, a bit big for a tiny flat, but it shreds the bits very well into tiny bits. So much better than by hand. It's fantastic for shredder for worm food for worm composting etc and the bits make it impossible for reading confidential information. It does create dust so wear a face mask and protect your eyes when emptying...but if you empty the bin slowly it's okay

We’ve been using ours for several months, mainly to deal with the personal effects of a serious “hoarder”. It is small enough to be stored easily and transported to where it is needed, but big enough to shred several loads of paper quickly. The feeder means you can load it and get on with something else while it does the shredding, then empty it, then run it again. I’ve used a similar one from a different manufacturer where the blades became badly clogged, but this one doesn’t suffer from that at all. When it eventually stops to avoid overheating, it’s best to leave it a while to fully cool down. Otherwise the gaps between stops seem to get progressively shorter. We use oil sachets to keep it lubricated, and they seem to clear out any remaining scraps of paper in the cutters. To empty it, you lift the entire shredder off the bin. Some reviews say it is heavy to lift, but we’ve found putting it on a kitchen worktop means it is just the right hight to make it easy to lift the shredder off the bin. Very pleased with it.

I had a huge amount of old paperwork that needed to be disposed of securely. My little home shredder would have packed up after a couple of hours. I looked around for a bulk shredder, a full on office shredder was a bit OTT for my requirements but this Rexel one looked perfect. And it is, but it still jams quite frequently. It seems to be especially prone to jamming with lighter weight paper. Because of the design of the unit you can only fill the shredder box to about the halfway point before you will get a “bin full” light coming on. Just bear those points in mind if you are looking for a decently priced, bulk shredder.

Seriously useless. Avoid. It repeatably jams on 10 sheets of thin paper. It does not cut 50 sheets but allegedly loads them, accept it often jams in this mode too. Hopeless. Wastes loads of time. My old Aurora was better than this heap of junk. It doesn't do CDs either. The only good thing is that its quiet.

The collection bin is of a very flimsy build, as is the top flap, and the machine shuts down saying 'bin full' when the bin is actually less than half full.

Another design flaw , apart from the endless jams in manual and auto mode, is that the shredded paper falls down behind the collection bin inside the cabinet. More bad design. When you pull out the bin to empty it, you either get a load of shredded paper on the floor or a clump of it at the back of the machine making closing the bin difficult. Either way you end up vacuuming to clean up the mess. and wasting more time

Any notion that tis machines auto feed will save you time is nonsense as you have to keep sorting out problems. Its the worst shredder I have ever used.

We have had 2 Rexel shredders before and were very pleased with them. This shredder is unfit for purpose. The main faults are that it sometimes jams when shredding 5 x 80gsm sheets and the full light stops the shredder long before it is full, as the shreddings form a mountain-shape under the blades, which activates the sensor. Shaking the shredder (it is heavy), or taking it off the bin and pushing down the shredding "mountain" allows it to re-start. Having to lift the shredder itself off the bin is cumbersome and awkward in any confined office space. It also means any shredding material on the underside spills on the floor. The 45 sheet tray is inside the top cover and although useful as it can be left to batch shred, it means opening up the top each time a new batch is to be loaded.
