Perhaps it needed to be shaken for longer or a thicker layer applying, though im pretty certain it was applied correctly. But even with fidgety kids I never recall having sun burns with the other two brands mentioned.

 My kids totally love it. It feels really light on the palm, and blends easily into the skin. It leaves a slightly white cast on darker skin; but if patiently applied, the white cast is barely visible.
